Her Land

UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_2c1c

She sees me, hears my voice, and she wheels,

Returns.

She knows me as well as I know her

Even when we have both discarded our winter robes.

She spirals and soars and tips her wings,

Then spreads them wide and hovers,

As though to embrace the earth and me with it

From her place in the sky.

This is her land.
